Journal of Health Data Protection (JHDP)
The Journal of Health Data Protection (JHDP) welcomes original, high-quality manuscripts related to health data protection, governance, compliance, regulation, cybersecurity, AI, ethics, and responsible data innovation in healthcare, life sciences and public health.
1. Manuscript Types
- Original articles (3–5 pages)
- Case studies (3–4 pages)
- Policy or regulatory analyses (3–5 pages)
- Technical notes / methodological papers (2–4 pages)
2. Manuscript Length
- Standard length: 3–4 pages (≈ 1,500–2,500 words)
- Tables and figures are allowed and encouraged (max. 3 per article)
3. Structure of the Manuscript
- Authors should follow this recommended structure:
- Title
- Author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), email contact
- Abstract (120–180 words)
- Keywords (4–6 terms)
- Introduction
- Main sections (with clear headings & sub-headings)
- Discussion / Recommendations
- Conclusion
- References (see section 6)
4. Formatting Requirements
- Font: Arial 11 pt, single spacing
- File format: Word (.docx)
- Pages numbered
- Figures/tables must include a title + source
- Acronyms must be written in full at first mention
5. Ethical & Legal Considerations
- Articles must respect GDPR, EU Data Protection, and health-data ethics principles.
- No personal data may be included unless fully anonymised.
- Conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the end of the article.
6. References
- Use a consistent style (APA or Vancouver). Minimum 5 references from:
- Academic journals
- Regulatory documents
- Official EU/EMA/CNIL/EDPB guidance
- Books or technical reports
7. Submission & Review
- All manuscripts should be sent to: editorial@jhdp.eu
- The Scientific Committee acts as the Editorial Board & Peer Review Board for the first issues.
- Authors will receive feedback within 3–4 weeks.
